About Pine Bluff Hearing Aid Center
Pine Bluff Hearing Aid Center was started by Jim and Maragret Stevens in 1959. Jim Stevens was a state representative under the governors Orval Faubus and Winthrop Rockefeller. During this time, he co-sponsered the bill that required a license for hearing aid dispensers in Arkansas. Jim Stevens was on the Arkansas Hearing Aid Society's Board for 17 years. When he was president of the board, he and his wife, Margaret, brought the first speakers to the Arkansas Hearing Aid Society's Convention. Their daughter, Beverly Anne Stevens, joined the company and is now the owner/operator.. She has her state and national board for certification in hearing instrument sciences. -(White Hall Progress 2008)
